people who have made records in world are incredibly so intelligent that they
have pushed the limits of an average person's typing speed.

speed records
STELLA PAJUNAS:
Stella Pajunas
in 1946 was recorded to have the fastest typing speed. She had the ability to
write 216 words per minute. She completed this remarkable feat by using IBM
electric typewriter.
Barbara Blackburn:
Another
legend in typing world is Barbara Blackburn. She was listed by guiness world
records as the fastest typist of English language. Blackburn achieved speed of
170 words per minute and some reports show that she also reached 212 words per
minute using a Dvorak keyboard layout.
What made Blackburn
famous and unique was her use of Dvorak simplified keyboard which was a layout designed
to increase the efficiency of the typists and to help them to reduce the
movement of their fingers while typing. Her achievements proved to the world
that both skill and design of keyboard can affect the typing performance.
Modern typing records and online
competitions of typing:
As use of
information technology, computers and mobile phones have increased these days
so the typing competitions have moved online. Now,platforms (Monkeytype and TypeRacer)allow people to take part in typing
competitions held globally and they can count their speeds in real time.
In recent
years, a young man Mythical Rocket achieved an outstanding 293 words per minute
in 15 seconds test and he also reached speeds above 300 hundred words per
minute in bursts.

modern records are called unofficial records because they are not observed
under strict conditions.
Stenography-
different level of typing speed they have:
One thing is
important to note that typing speed depends on which machine is used for typing.
for example stenographers who use several machines which allow to press
multiple keys at a time and that's why they can achieve higher speeds. A
professional stenographer Mark kislingbury had speeds of 375 words per minute.
He used a stenotype machine.
As this
method is very different from traditional typing so these kind of records are
usually classified separately.
Modern typing records:
Typing is
not just now limited to keyboards of computers and laptops.Smartphones have
made the world aware with another typing idea that is by keyboards in
smartphones.Nowadays we can see youngsters typing so fast on their smart phones.
For example,
